mmmmmm coffee and cream...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and warm...its baltic cold here and has been hailstones, thunder and lightening...armageddon is happening I think lol...it always seems to wait until I go out of the house too, the heavens opened when we went shopping yesterday and even my good trusty ikea umbrella couldn't cope and gave up...I was nearly not here, I came in from shopping and dumped all the bags on the kitchen counter, then toodled about a bit picking up and tidying, went into the lounge and thought I will have a ten min snooze...so dozing away and next thing the smoke alarm goes off, gave me the fright of my life, I ran out into the hall and could smell smoke straight away went into the kitchen and I must have knocked the cooker on when I put the bags down and there was a tea towel smouldering away on the cooker top...no flames thank goodness but the kitchen was filled with smoke, I sorted it out no problem then sat down and my legs felt all wobbly, how close was that...see I always knew supermarket shopping was dangerous lol...right onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Just Magnolia & hAnglar & stAnglar challenge, its all change over at JM now, we now have two teams so we post once a fortnight and we have some new members too, I'm on team A and its our turn this week, the fabulous Pops is our host and its an Anything Goes week with an added option of using Coffee and Cream, I used this pretty Tilda, I love the way she sits and her gorgeous little hat, I coloured her with distress inks and aren't these papers so lush, they are digi papers would you believe, I have never used digi papers before but was mighty impressed with the designs...I bought these at Nitwit Collections and these are from the Cottage Charm Too set...the fabulous clock was sent to me by the fantastic Astrid when I admired them on her blog she offered me some and posted them to me, aren't fellow crafters so generous, I'm looking for a blogger with a car blog now so I can admire something on there (you never know) lol...thanks Astrid your a star...I finished with some cut out embellishments and a silk ribbon...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the DYSU Challenge and Anything Goes challenge too...I'm huddling up with a hot water bottle today, whatever your up to have a fantastic day and be careful near cookers lol

Mina,
Another gorgeous card! I love the monochromatic colors & the clock face is perfect. I think perhaps you should write a book of your adventures & do all the illustrations for it. Between the laughter & the awesome pictures it would sell like hotcakes!

Thank heaven for smoke alarms!!! Hey, maybe the smoke overpowered all your spider friends, or at least drove them back outdoor for some fresh air?! Hey, have to look on the bright side! Another pretty card, I've got to ask do you ever create duds?? Take care of yourself would ya?!!
Hugs,
R/

Beautiful card Mina... and so glad your smoke alarm caught your smoudering towel in time before you were burnt to a crisp! Our alarm goes off at the slightest whiff of a piece of toast... it's a damn nuisance, but better safe than sorry.... so I forgive it!! LOL
